Public Enemy To Headline Golden Plains Festival

Flavor Flav, Chuck D and co are coming to Oz!

Hip hop pioneers Public Enemy have been named as the first act on the 2014 Golden Plains Music Festival.

The sister event to the Meredith Music Festival has seen some big names over the years but something tells us they haven't quite seen a show like the one that the iconic rap collective still put out to this day, three decades after they formed in New York.

Flavor Flav, Chuck D and co. were last here for the 2012 Groovin' The Moo festival and were as charismatic and energetic as ever so we are pumped for them to come to our shores next March. Here's a few classic Public Enemy tracks to get you amped! YEAH BOY - sorry, we couldn't resist...

More artists will be revealed close to when the ticket ballot results are in. There will be two rounds of ballot draws before the remaining go on sale for the public - these will take place on or before Wednesday 23 October for existing ballot subscribers and then on the following Wednesday for new subscribers. The festival will take place from Saturday 8 to Monday 10 March at the Supernatural Amphitheatre in Meredith.
