More Kings Of Leon More Kings Of Leon

The volatility at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart has continued this week, with ten new albums in the top 20.

American Southern-rock arena rockers Kings Of Leon, who are arguably one of the world's biggest bands following their Sex On Fire smash, debuted at number one, as predicted, with Mechanical Bull. It's their third Aussie number one, Only By the Night and Come Around Sundown being the others.

Perth rockers Eskimo Joe debuted at 12 with their new-sounding Wastelands, while Melbourne rock identity and former Magic Dirt frontwoman Adalita managed 30 with All Day Venus. Hardcore outfit Hellions just snuck into the top 50 with Die Young at 49.

Laneway-bound Scottish trio Chvrches enjoyed a solid entry at 13 with The Bones Of What You Believe while American indie band Grouplove's Spreading Rumours landed at 18.

Nirvana's classic In Utero re-entered the chart at 22 thanks to the 20th anniversary re-issue. It's peak position is two and it notches up its 18th week.

On-tour US country star Alan Jackson debuted at 32 with The Bluegrass Album, his The Very Best Of Alan Jackson further down at 95.

Katy Perry's Roar spends its fifth week at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart with a commanding sales lead. Even without theMusic.com.au's midweek chart report next Wednesday, we can almost call it to make it six weeks next week, today.

John Newman's Love Me Again was the big mover in the top ten, rising from eight to four, while Birdy's Wings was this week's top debut at 25. On-tour Rudimental's Right Here debuted at 29.
