Aussies moving up the US charts

More Tonight Alive More Tonight Alive

Aussie country megastar Keith Urban has debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 album charts this week with new album Fuse, while young Sydney pop punk outfit Tonight Alive also polled strongly with an entry at 43.

In what is his second US number one (after 2009's Defying Gravity), Fuse is also expected to challenge for the top spot on the Australian chart tomorrow. One of country music's biggest stars, Urban's Greatest Hits was also pulled back into the charts this week, re-entering at 147. It has spent 64 weeks in the chart. Fuse obviously also tops the Country Albums chart.

In the other impressive Australian debut, Tonight Alive's The Other Side has landed at 43, following on from their debut of 59 in the UK charts earlier this week. As their strongest position in the overall US albums chart, the album also debuted at 15 in the Rock Albums Chart this week.

Last week the female-fronted five piece debuted at five in the AIRA Albums Chart.
