Two locals make mega game's playlist
Australian artists Empire Of The Sun and Olympic Ayres have scored spots on the soundtrack for soccer video game FIFA 14, which is arguably the world's biggest video game and the most saought-after soundtrack spot.
Joining the likes of Foals, Grouplove, Chvrches and Nine Inch Nails on the in-game soundtrack, the positioning is a coup for both the established Empire Of The Sun (whose track Alive will feature) and emerging Sydney duo Olympic Ayres (whose track Magic will feature).
Today the band said they were “Very honoured to be one of the only Australian bands represented on the line-up.”
As of May this year, last year's FIFA 13 edition sold over 14.5 million copies around the world, according to Eurogamer.

Olympic Ayres have been garnering a bit of triple j support recently, but this soundtrack will put their track in front of millions instantly. Both Magic and Alive will be part of the playlist that is rotated through the in-game menus.
Two New Zelanders also made the cut, with The Naked & Famous' Hearts Like Ours and David Dallas' Runnin.
