A family emergency has forced the cancellation.

More Hermitude More Hermitude

Due to a family emergency, Philadelphia beatmaker Knxwledge has had to cancel all dates on his forthcoming Australian tour, including his spot at Sydney's big OutsideIn festival in a couple of weeks' time.

“It is with great sadness that we must announce that due to a family emergency, Knxwledge has cancelled his upcoming Australian tour,” the festival organisers said in a statement today. “The OutsideIn family wishes him and his family all the best, and we hope to see him back in Australia soon.”

Festival organisers have been quick to make sure the international artist has been replaced by a suitable act and have done a pretty great job in securing the much-loved hip hop duo Hermitude to fill the gap at the very last minute. They are renowned as one of the great live acts in the country at present – and they won last year's AMP, for goodness sake – so they'll no doubt be a popular addition to the bill.

The festival happens on Saturday 21 September and Sunday 22 over three stages at The Factory Theatre. The rest of the bill remains unchanged.
