Ten years of mosh and mates
Australia's best known hardcore band Parkway Drive will be releasing an anniversary book to chronicle ten years of the band (so far).
Having conquered far more than anyone ever expected (gold albums, a platinum DVD, sold out tours in all corners of the globe) the Byron Bay outfit have announced today they'll release their “first ever” (as if it was just expected that they'd do something like this) book Friday 27 September.
Compiled and edited by Callum Preston, the book is full of photos from the Parkway vault, many of which fans have not seen before. It also boasts poster art, articles and magazine covers with personal recollections from the band and those around them.
It's been a bloody big year for Parkway and it'll really kick into gear mid-September when their massive tenth anniversary shows kick off.

Speaking to theMusic.com.au this week frontman Winton McCall spoke about the initial formation of the band.
“The first goal was to 'make friends, mosh hard. It sounds stupid, but that was literally it; 'Let's make the heaviest band possible, so we can play the youth centre, and kids can go mental'. That was it.
“Then that goal literally changed two weeks later, when someone said, 'Hey, you wanna go play Brisbane?' Then it changed again to, 'Let's try and do this release, then let's do a tour and then let's continue touring', and it just kept growing and growing.”
