Joey Bada$$ Announces Aus Dates With The Underachievers

He was one of the artists we were most excited about seeing at the ill-fated Movement Festival, so we're very stoked to hear that Joey Bada$$ will be playing four Australian dates alongside his engagement at the Meredith Music Festival this December.

He's a rapper with talent and style that belies his mere 19-years of age, his three mixtapes 1999, Rejex and Summer Knights all featuring scintillating hip hop tracks that recall the best hip hop of yesteryear if it were delivered with the nous of a kid in the modern age.

We can expect his first proper LP to drop sometime early in 2014, which means we'll probably get to hear a fair bit of new material when he makes his way to Australia.

Joining him on these dates will be The Underachievers a psyched out, hugely energetic and utterly unique couple of rappers straight out of Brooklyn. They've recently signed to Brainfeeder (Flying Lotus' label) but you can grab their Indigoism mixtape here.

Local dude Remi will round out the bill, bringing his soulful jams to proceedings, ensuring things kick off in style.
