Lorde Cracks US Top 10 Digital Albums

New Zealand starlet Lorde has continued her march up the US charts this week with The Love Club EP reaching its highest position on the influential Billboard 200 chart – 23.

In its tenth week, the EP has also cracked the top ten of the Digital Albums Chart, rising to eight this week, and has held top spot on the Alternative Songs charts with Royals.

The 16-year-old recently announced Australian tour dates to coincide with the release of her debut album Pure Heroine, which will be released next month. It is possible that the EP – her debut release – will still be rising when the record is released – Friday 27 September in Australia and Monday 30 September in the US.

Elsewhere in the US charts Passenger's All The Little Lights, is up to its highest point of 124 in its third week in the 200. The UK singer/songwriter is signed to Australian label Inertia, who snapped up his rights worldwide while they were at it and can now reap these rewards. Last week All The Little Lights was number one in the emerging Heatseekers chart and it drops to two there this week.

Gold Coast teen heartthrob Cody Simpson plummeted almost 100 positions in the Bilboard 200, with Surfers Paradise down to 193 from 97 in its fifth week. AC/DC's Back In Black, which has spent 152 weeks in the chart, is at 195. Hillsong Live's Glorious Ruins is at 196 in its sixth week – it peaked at 18.

In the Dance/Club Play Songs chart Kylie Minogue's Skirt is up to its highest point of two, only behind Avicii's Wake Me Up. Kylie's track has spent seven weeks in the chart. Iggy Azalea's Work is making its way up the same chart, in its second week its up to 33 from 48. Havana Brown's Flashing Lights enters the top 50 for the first time at 49.

In the Dance/Electronic Chart Skirt is up to 24 from 31.
