Are dates around the corner?
A 'waitlist' for Paul McCartney Australian tour tickets has appeared online, fuelling rumours of an imminent Australian tour.
It has been decades since the ex-Beatle graced Australian stages and as Music Feeds have pointed out, Ticketek are now accepting expressions of interest for a potential tour.
Although the waitlist does not confirm an Australian tour, it does suggest that the idea has been broached by a promoter to venues or the ticketing company – a measure that is usually taken early in the negotiations to ensure availability. The response the waitlist receives will provide an indication of interest in a tour and is often used as a viral marketing tactic by either the promoter or ticketing company.
McCartney's current tour dates finish in Japan 21 November.

Other tours which have been in serious negotiations and have had ticketing waitlists posted, such as the Australian leg of The Rolling Stones tour, are yet to come to fruition.
