The annual Rap City event has announced the line-up it will bring to Australia for 2013 this afternoon, with the legendary Talib Kweli sitting atop the bill for this year, with Homeboy Sandman and Trademark 'Da Skydiver' joining in on the action.

Kweli has been in the game for close to two decades now, coming out of the Brooklyn underground in the mid-90s before crossing over somewhat around the turn of the century with records such as the critically acclaimed 1998 record Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star (with Mos Def) and his brilliant 2002 solo debut Quality, which featured appearances from the likes of Dave Chappelle, Xzibit and Bilal as well as production from a fresh faced Kanye West.

He has just dropped a new record by the name of Prisoner Of Conscious, which sees him somewhat reinvent himself creatively.

Joining him is Stones Throw artist Homeboy Sandman who has been hailed as one of the best hip hop lyricists around (for good reason) and Jet Life Crew's Trademark 'Da Skydiver' whose mixtapes have been generating plenty of heat and who will release his debut album just before he hits Australia this October.

All the dates are below and you can snap up your tickets from Monday 12 August onwards.
