Rises for Lorde, Of Monsters & Men and Frank Ocean

More Splendour In The Grass More Splendour In The Grass

The influence of Splendour In The Grass is still being felt across the ARIA Charts this week, with festival headliners Of Monsters & Men enjoying the biggest jump in the Albums Chart top 50.

Promoted to the main stage's closing set of the weekend after Frank Ocean pulled out, the Icelandic indie-folk outfit's album My Head Is An Animal jumped 21 places to sit at 17. Frank Ocean himself gained 13 positions with Channel Orange promoted to 11 and the 'not-so-secret' band Alt-J's An Awesome Wave is up to 25.

Pink's The Truth About Love took the top spot in the album rankings this week, despite a seven percent drop in sales. It's the eighth week for the album in the number one position, although the last three instances have been non-consecutive. Karnivool's Asymmetry dropped to three from last week's top spot.

In the ARIA Singles Chart last minute Splendour fill-in Lorde is catching up on the number one spot with her The Love Club EP. Moving up one spot to two, only Avicii's Wake Me Up is holding it off the top spot. Wake Me Up's sales went up by three percent this week, but Lorde's grew a healthy 28 percent. As such she closes last week's gap of having 61 percent of Avicii's sales to 76 percent this week.
