The town of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory is set to showcase some mighty fine and very diverse music as the Desert Harmony Festival stops by from the end of next month for over a week of great celebrations.

The event prides itself on showcasing a mix of traditional, contemporary, cultural, indigenous, non-indigenous, youth and adult presentations throughout the ten days it is held and this year there is plenty to get excited about.

On the music side of things performances from the likes of the legendary Coloured Stone, Catherine Satour and new collaborative project Dyson, Stringer, Cloher head things up, but there are plenty of other performances – many of which are free – taking place throughout the festival's duration.

It's not just a music festival, though, with a program packed full of visual arts, theatre, food, cultural activities, parades, film and dance on offer as well. For the full program, check out the Desert Harmony website.
