Final Round Of Boomerang Festival Acts Locked In

The final line up announcement for the inaugural Boomerang Festival has just been revealed with a whole stack of new acts from around the globe getting involved in this exciting celebration of indigenous culture.

From outside of Australia comes Scottish folk group Breabach, Canadian roots music duo Digging Roots and stellar Kiwi group Nga Tae are the biggest names on the bill, though Canada will also send us TsuuT'ina & Anishnaabe and Real Injun and New Zealand's Jerome Kavanagh: TE HAA AIO and Pacific Curls are also on the bill.

Queensland party starters Dubmarine and OKA will both get things fired up, while bluesman Ray Beadle will show why he's considered one of the best around.  Closing out the bill is Gary Foley, Slip On Stereo, Bow and Arrow, Getano Bann, Supafresh and Blakboi.

On the dance side of things, revellers will be treated to performances by the likes of Move it Mob Style, Torres Strait Island's Malu Kiai Mura Buia and Fiji's Vou, as well as the Jannawi Dancers, Koomurri Dancers and Bunggul Dancers.

Some fantastic new speakers join the program on this last announcement as well; none other than renowned journalist George Negus leading things off. Joining him will be Melissa Lucashenko, Romaine Morton and Richard Frankland.

They all join what is a diverse and very exciting bill that will no doubt entertain and enrich when the festival takes place at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm this October.

The festival takes place at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm from Friday 4 October – Sunday 6.
