Joe Manganiello will be here this week

Sydney will get a visit from a werewolf this week. Ok, not exactly, but True Blood's resident pack-master Alcide Herveaux, otherwise known as Joe Manganiello has announced a promotional tour of the city.

The actor will appear at the 2013 ASTRA Awards on Thursday 25 July at the Sydney Theatre. The sixth season of the show that's made him a household name and heartthrob is currently screening on Foxtel's Showcase channel. It was recently announced that the hit HBO show would head into production for a seventh season.

It's also been announced that Fox8 will screen another new sci-fi/fantasy show from True Blood creator Alan Ball. Banshee will premiere on Wednesday 14 August at 8.30pm.

Manganiello is also known for his supporting roles in the comedy What To Expect When You're Expecting and the Channing Tatum stripper flick Magic Mike.
