EXCLUSIVE: Gotye Looking Forward To Playing Rock N Roll Again

Gotye will hit the road again in 2013, but this time it will be with his buds in The Basics and he is keen as mustard.

“It's been a great challenge nutting out how to bring a large band, visuals and studio compositions together for the Gotye live shows over the last two years,” said the multi-award winning musician. “But right now I'm looking forward to getting sweaty behind the drums and playing rock 'n' roll in these fab clubs with my brothers Kris and Tim.”

The Basics will hit the tour circuit in September, with a plethora of material to choose from for these special shows. Since the guys formed in Melbourne in the early 2000s, they've released four studio albums plus a number of EPs.

The guys will also perform on the just announced bill for the Caloundra Music Festival.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday 12 June.
