Matt Corby to hold onto top ten spot

Queens Of The Stone Age and City & Colour are baring down on the slowing Daft Punk in the ARIA Albums Chart this week.

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories endured a drastic drop in sales for its second week on the chart, but held onto top spot thanks to a lack of real challengers. It's unlikely to be as lucky this week, with Queens Of The Stone Age's Like Clockwork… and City & Colour's The Hurry And The Harm both posing threats and are possible top three prospects, according to midweek figures.

You wouldn't bet against The Great Gatsby soundtrack though, the Beyonce and Lana Del Rey-featuring release continues to gather a head of steam this week. It was up to two last week.

Other strong debuts will come from Disclosure's Settle and John Fogerty's guest-ridden Wrote A Song For Everyone, while new albums from Megadeth, Baby Animals and Sleeping With Sirens are behind that.

Robin Thicke still looks solid atop the ARIA Singles Chart with Blurred Lines (and will equal Passenger's 2013 for consecutive weeks at number one this week – five) but Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu's duet with Delta Goodrem, Bayini – featuring members of The Sydney Symphony, has bulleted into the top few positions of the chart. The indigenous artist and pop star performed the track on reality TV show The Voice last week and the track has enjoyed strong digital sales since then

As in the albums chart, The Great Gatsby's momentum continues with Lana Del Rey's lead single Young & Beautiful looking to rise from its current position of 22. Other top 40 movers will include Jessie J's Wild, Chainz's We Own It, Olly Murs' Dear Darlin', Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' Wing$ and the comeback single from last year's The Voice winner Karise EdenThreads Of Silence.

Local hope Matt Corby won't rise from last week's top five effort, but his new track Resolution will hold onto the top ten.
