The Brisbane indie legends have set a date for a couple of weeks' time.

More Custard More Custard

Brisbane indie kings Custard have announced they will play a show in 2013, with a date set for the Queen's Birthday Weekend at Sydney's Vic On The Park.

The band were one of the leading bands in the Australian alternative rock explosion of the mid-1990s and released a series of very well-received albums from their 1990 formation through to their 1999 split. Some even consider them to be among the finest musical purveyors of the past 20 years… The band reformed in 2009 and have played a scant few dates across the country over the past few years.

The Queen's Birthday show will see them supported by Sydney's Songs, fresh from the release of their latest LP Malabar. It's a rare occurrence to see Custard live these days and goodness knows when you'll get a chance to do so next.

Here's just one of their many great songs.
