Gunman Opens Fire On Strip Club With AK-47 After DJ Won't Play His Request

No one was killed, though the gunman is still on the loose.

The search is on for a 21-year-old man by the name of Henry Pettigrew who shot up the Purple Orchid Gentlemen's Club in Philadelphia after the club's DJ refused to play a song that he and his friend had requested.

WPVI report that Pettigrew and his friend was escorted from the club, at which point they assaulted a customer entering the venue, mistaking him for a bouncer. After the customer tried to flee in his vehicle, Pettigrew emerged with an AK-47 and began shooting, hitting the driver and causing non-life threatening injuries.

Pettigrew then ran into the club and opened fire indiscriminately; though thankfully everyone in the club managed to duck for cover in time and no one further was injured. At this point Pettigrew and his unknown accomplice fled the club.

"You see one of the bullets actually strike the mirror right where [the DJ's] head would have been, so we're very fortunate the person did not get struck by the gunfire," Lt. Johnny Walker of the Philadelphia Police Department told WPVI.
