US label locks in Aussie distro and marketing agreement
Australian music company UNFD have today announced a partnership US punk label Equal Vision Records that covers distribution, marketing and promotion for the Australia and New Zealand territories.
Dan Sandsahw, Label Manager of the US imprint that has driven the careers on Converge, Saves The Day, Coheed & Cambria amongst others, said, “It's rare to find a label with as much passion and dedication to our diverse roster of alternative, indie, and hardcore artists – but we have found that with We Are Unified and we are excited to have our releases represented by their team.”
UNFD have already been dealing with Equal Vision's releases, with releases from Say Anything, Eisley and Pretty & Nice. Wednesday 26 June will see them release the new album from We Came As Romans – Tracking Back Roots – and today the label announced that a number of the US label's vinyl titles will be sold through UNFD in select independent stores. Releases from We Cam As Romans, The Fall Of Troy, Converge and Give Up The Ghost are included in that series.
UNFD's Jaddan Comerford, “Equal Vision are responsible for some of the most iconic punk and hardcore records of the past 20 years. Their talent for seeking out and nurturing artists is incredible and we are unbelievably happy to represent their catalogue in Australia and New Zealand."
