There's only one way to get a ticket now...
Splendour In The Grass have delivered a big fuck off to the scalpers that have flooded the internet with tickets at inflated prices today, by announcing a secure re-sale program.
The initiative, which has been set-up via Moshtix, will give people who can't attend the festival anymore the chance to sell their tickets to someone else. On the official SITG website today, it's been made clear that this is the only way for punters to score a legitimate ticket to the event.
Tickets can be put up for sale from Tuesday 4 June till Saturday 20 July and they can be purchased as of Wednesday 5 June up to Sunday 21 July.
This appears to be a direct counter-attack against the scalpers, who were offerring tickets on online sites such as Gumtree at some ridiculously increased prices. Take Lorna for instance, who wanted $700 for a 3 day camping ticket, which is actually worth $359. Looks like they've been snapped up - one has to wonder if that person actually paid Lorna nearly double the amount...
