May 13th 2013 | 12:08pm | Dan Condon
A long-standing favourite event for Brisbane heavy music lovers, the Dead Of Winter festival is back again in 2013 and they have put together another huge line up featuring a couple of brilliant Melbourne bands – one veteran act, one somewhat newer (though with plenty of experience) – in the headlining position.

Fireballs, King Parrot, Post-Life Disorder, Disentomb, The Disables, Casino Rumblers, Truth Corroded, Lynchmada, Alpine Fault, Darkcell, Chainsaw Hookers, In Death, Rome, High Time, Flangipanis, Horrorwood Mannequins, Clowns, Working Horse Irons, The Dead Love, The Levitation Hex, The Tearaways, Fat, Kyzer Soze, Kill The Apprentice, El Gordo, Meaniacs, Jack Flash, The 52 Pickups, F.U.C, Acid Nymph, Smoking Martha, The Damned Humans, Alkira, Delorean Tide, The Lilly Rouge Band , Mitch Alexander, The Velvet Vixens

And, in case you've been living under a rock, one of the finest Australian film clips in recent memory…

This is just the first announcement, with over 40 bands set to perform across five stages at the event when it hits the recently revamped Jubilee Hotel on Saturday 13 July. As usual, punters are strongly encouraged to dress up in their most evil fancy dress to make sure the vibe is just right.

Grab your tickets through OzTix from Wednesday morning.
