The Nerve join Bird's Robe Records

Ezekiel Ox and Lucius Borich's new band The Nerve have signed with Bird's Robe Records for the release for their album due later this year.

As well as the Mammal frontman Ox and Cog's drummer Borich, the band also features Davarj Thomas and Glenn Proudfoot and earlier this year released their teaser track Witness. The next single Down There will be released Friday 31 May through Bird's Robe.

“When we were speaking with labels and distributors about our goals for the launch cycle, [Director] Mike Solo and Bird's Robe stood out as the most open, honest and independent spirit we crossed paths with,” Ox said today. “There is an integrity in the community focus of Bird's Robe, and we are pleased to be co-creating with such an exciting and dynamic company.”

Solo added, “If you're into groove-inflected hard rock with plenty of attitude and jaw-dropping musicianship this one's for you! There's been plenty of hype around the band's illustrious individual reputations, but what speaks more to me is their enthusiasm to be part of the Bird's Robe community. Their attitude towards collaborating and producing interesting and heavy-hitting rock music is exactly the kind of vibe that makes this such an exciting project to work with.”
