An almighty bill of local and international talent get involved this year.

More The Smith Street Band More The Smith Street Band

The line-up of bands hitting Melbourne for the Poison City Weekender, one of the most exciting weekends of the year for punk rock fans in Australia, was announced last night, with a much loved local act up the top of the bill and a few tantalising international  acts on the bill as well.

The Smith Street Band have achieved a seriously impressive amount of success over the past couple of years, thanks to great songs and a shitload of hard touring, and they headline this year's Poison City Weekender. They'll be joined by two killer American punk rock acts in California's Joyce Manor and Michigan's Cheap Girls and the kinda folky Cory Branan from Mississippi.

Leading the rest of the Aussie contingent are the always brilliant Blueline Medic, The Nation Blue and Luca Brasi while some very well loved smaller acts round out the bill, among them White Walls, Hoodlum Shouts, Arrows, Lincoln Le Fevre, Deep Heat, Grim Fandango, Infinite Void, Jen Buxton, The Bennies, Clowns, Postblue, Apart From This and Pinch Hitter.

Poison City Weekender will also mark the final ever show from Sydney pop-punk dudes Milhouse, who've been busy saying their goodbyes around the country over recent weeks.
