Felix Riebl, frontman of The Cat Empire, has signed a publishing deal with Alberts and as such joins his Cat Empire co-writer Harry James Angus on the roster.

The deal covers Riebl's published works for the world, excluding back catalogue for APRA regions until 2016. Angus is represented by Alberts outside of APRA territories.

The announcement comes as The Cat Empire prepare to release new album Steal The Light and embark on a mammoth world tour. With the record out Friday 17 May through the band's own Two Shows Records label, distributed by Inertia, the first single Brighter Than Gold was co-written by Riebl and Angus.

As well as his credits with The Cat Empire, Riebl has a solo career that saw the release of Into The Rain in 2011. He has also composed music for The Commonwealth Games, Australia Day Ceremonies, festivals and the Two Men short film.
