Penelope Austin also has tracked synced to Channel 7 program

Singer Penelope Austin and regular collaborator songwriter Robert Conley feature in the Australian edition of the new Star Trek film after being selected by the film's production house.

Reported in The Age, their song The Dark Collide was chosen as the track for a “key scene” in Stark Trek Into Darkness, which premiered on Tuesday in Sydney.

Austin, originally from New South Wales' Southern Highlands, and Conley were the local winners in a competition which saw musicians from six countries provide music for the key scene.

In recent years Austin has spent time overseas in a bid to kickstart her career. Her bio proudly boasts a backstage adventure on a Rolling Stones tour after meeting Keith Richards' daughter. She is currently booked by IMC Agency.
