More Hilltop Hoods More Hilltop Hoods

The latest album from Adelaide's hip hop trailblazers Hilltop Hoods has been officially certified double platinum, theMusic.com.au can reveal.

Drinking From The Sun peaked at number one on the ARIA Charts and won the band an ARIA Award last year after being released in March. The double platinum means the album has scanned over 140,000 copies. It was originally propelled by the band's most successful single, the triple platinum I Love It featuring Sia, and spent a total of 33 weeks in the chart.

An earlier single Still Standing – from another ARIA Award winning album State Of The Art – has also been certified this week.

The band have taken the opportunity to confirm that work is “well underway” on the album's follow-up Walking Under Stars. The trio are calling the album 'part two' of its predecessor.

In the lead-up to Walking Under Stars, which may be released this year, Hilltop have struck up a partnership with clothing company Zoo York and will work on collaborative projects to be unveiled next year.

The band's Suffa said today, “We've always been fans of Zoo York, they understand hip hop culture, and that's why we can't wait to work with them.”

The company's Mike Vati said that alongside their 20th anniversary celebrations next year, “the partnership opportunity felt natural and organic for both parties.”
