Empra plot second EP

Melbourne rock outfit Empra have won the Live Nation In-House Artist Project band competition which carries with it a $30,000 touring and marketing fund.

The band had travelled to Los Angeles to compete in the final alongside five other artists and performed in front of punters and an industry judging panel. They performed Yours Sincerely, Strange Conditions and Only Love at the event.

As well as the touring and marketing fund the four-piece will receive management and music agency consultation as well as a limited feature on the Live Nation and Ticketmaster web sites.

Returning to Australia the band will being work on second EP, which will be produced by Hayden Ing (Calling All Cars) and is slated for a May release. The band will return to the US following the EP and Australian launch dates to utilise their prize.

They will play Friday 19 April at Gertrude's Brown Couch with Dividers, Limpsmack and The Furrows.
