The end of the cricket season signalled a drop for ABC 702, with the public broadcaster losing 1.5 percent of the listenership share for both Monday-Friday and on the weekend. Down to a 9.7 percent share Monday-Friday their biggest loss came in the Breakfast slot with a 2 percent drop. Overall they lost over 2 percent in every demographic above the age of 40. Listeners returned to 2GB, who are now the dominant Monday-Friday frequency, growing 1.4 percent to a 14.3 percent share. ABC 702's 9.7 percent is the next biggest share. 2GB is now also the leading weekend station, passing ABC 702 with a 9.3 percent share.

Triple j head most of last survey's gain, losing 0.3 percent to 6.6 percent Monday-Friday and 0.4 percent to 7.1 percent on weekends. They were passed in the 18-24 year-old demographic by NOVA96.9 who gained 3.8 percent for a total share of 22 percent. Triple j gained 1.1 percent to have a 20.8 percent share.

2UE's slide continued this week with their new-look breakfast pairing of Ian 'Dicko' Dickinson and Sarah Morice failing to stem the tide of falling listeners. They lost 0.2 percent to 3.9 percent share in breakfast and have just 4.3 percent share overall.

MELBOURNE

The big Monday-Friday gainers here were Gold, who gained 1.9 percent to rise to an 8.9 percent share and put themselves in the top four behind FoxFM (9.4), ABC774 (11.7) and 3AW (12.8). All of those top three took hits this period, with 3AW the greatest losers with a 1.1 percent drop.

Nova 100's dire weekend figures showed some healthier signs this survey, rising 1.2 percent to 6.1 percent while 3AW maintain their standing as the weekend's most listened-to station with a 12.1 percent share, down 0.6 percent.

BRISBANE

B105 were the big winners in Brisbane with a 2.1 percent Monday-Friday jump giving them the largest weekday share in a very competitive market. Those gains came across the board with 2.2 percent in breakfast, 3 percent in mornings, 2.7 percent in afternoons and 1.4 percent in drive. They dropped 0.1 percent for evenings. Neither 97.3FM nor Nova 106.9 are far off their weekday market share with 11.9 percent each. 97.3FM took a 1.9 percent hit this period while Nova106.9 lost 0.7. 97.3FM's losses came largely in the 25-39 year-old demographic with a 6.3 percent drop to 11.2 percent. B105 appear to have picked a lot of those listeners up with a 6.2 percent rise to 19.7 percent in the same demographic.

97.3FM still have the weekend supremacy with a 12.2 percent share, however, just holding off Nova106.9 who enjoyed a 2.2 percent weekend jump to 100.9 percent. 4MMM (Triple M) lost 1.7 percent on the weekend to drop to 6.7 percent, below 4JJJ (triple j)'s 8.4 percent.

ADELAIDE

Triple j (5JJJ) are the big winners here, continuing last survey's growth with a 1.5 percent Monday-Friday growth to 8.2 percent and a 1.9 percent weekend growth to 10.4 percent. Particularly strong on the weekends, the public broadcaster is now in the top four stations. Their gains came again from key demographics with a 6.8 percent growth in 18-24 – the second highest in the sector. The leader in 18-24 year olds is still Nova 91.9 who lost 3.8 percent to 20.1 percent while SAFM shed 6.9 percent to 11.9 percent.

MIX102.3 remain the top Monday-Friday station in Adelaide with a 15.2 percent share despite losing 2 percent. Triple M (5MMM) gained 1.5 percent on weekdays and now enjoy a 10.5 percent share.
