Listen To Davey Lane's Debut Single

He's gone solo and this is what it sounds like...

You know Davey Lane from his work as the guitarist of You Am I since 1999, but he's having a real crack at the solo caper now and we've got his first song here to prove it.

You're The Cops, I'm The Crime is a dark slice of pop with one of those great single note quasi-funk-guitar riffs through the verse and a big, sweeping chorus replete with plenty of synth pads that add a kind of lush feel to the song. Have a listen, why don't ya?

Now we don't want to be too presumptuous but we reckon that's maybe not quite what you were expecting? We reckon Mr Lane has been reconnecting with the '80s.
