He's also playing a gig in Sydney tonight!

Kieran Ryan has announced he will be releasing his first self-titled solo effort on Friday 5 April through the Spunk label.

Ryan was once half of the former indie rock duo Kid Sam. Ending the project out of a need to explore new creative avenues, the album features a more expansive sound than his work with Kid Sam and was recorded in 2011 and 2012 with producer Myles Woottoon (The Panics).

Ryan and his band will be performing tonight, Thursday 7 February, at York Street Anglican Church in Sydney. You can buy tickets here and give his new stuff a listen over here.
