Many called 2012's Dig It Up! shows, curated by legendary Aussie rockers the Hoodoo Gurus, one of the best shows of the year. With a line up featuring The Sonics, Redd Kross, The 184.108.40.206’s, Died Pretty, The Fleshtones, Hard-Ons, Royal Headache and more, that's not surprising.
So great was the response that the band have decided to do it all again in 2013. While we still have no idea who is actually going to be on the line up for the shows, the Gurus' frontman Dave Faulkner has promised that the line up will meet the lofty expectations that we all have after last year.
"Last year's Dig It Up! was such an incredible event that our only concern was what could we possibly do to match it?" he said in a statement release this morning. "We had no intention of doing anything unless we could maintain the same standard, with that standard being rock 'n' roll perfection. Well, I can confidently state that this year's line-up will live up to everyone's high expectations"
The dates for the run of shows have been announced, so lock these away now! Hell, even if the rest of the line up sucks, it's always worth going to see Hoodoo Gurus play.
