So many Big Day Out goodies, so little time

With a week to go before the first Big Day Out for 2013, promoters have released plenty of cool information regarding this year's festival, including the Chow Town menu for each respective date and the selling out of the Sydney leg of the festival – it's all happening.

Named after the Lollapolooza equivalent in Chicago, Chow Town is run by the Porteno/Bodego dudes Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz, known as the “Culinary Outlaws”of Chow Town, bringing the most acclaimed restaurants from every city to pop-up style eateries at the BDO, giving attendees the chance to sample the finest cuisine in the country.

Also on the list of exciting announcements, BDO has released their free 2013 iPhone and Android App, helping you timetable your day a bit easier, and dropped word of the Rebound Rumble Stadium – a sweet new basketball match for robots, manned by high school students from NSW, Tasmania and Victoria and exclusive to the Sydney leg.

Check out these 50kg, 1.5 metre tall robots going at it four to a team, powered by FIRST robotics and Macquarie University.


If you missed out of Sydney tickets and you'd fancy a roadtrip, tickets are still available for the Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne festivals on the BDO website or there's plenty of tix available for sideshows.
