Iconic hard rockers' digital back catalogue goes to work in the States

Having stormed both Australian and UK charts earlier this week, Aus heavy rockers AC/DC yesterday invaded US charts.

Both the band's new live album and digitally re-issued back catalogue made an imapct on a variety of this week's American charts.

The Live At River Plate set debuted in the Top 200 album chart at 66, one notch ahead of the reissued Back In Black - in at 67, it peaked at four upon original release in 1980. Back In Black also debuted at 18 on the US Digital Album Chart this week.

Thunderstruck was their highest debuting song in the US Digital Track Chart, coming in at 16. Other AC/DC debuts in that chart this week: Back In Black at 20; You Shook Me All Night Long at 23; Highway To Hell at 31 and TNT at 50.

And, naturally, they dominated the US Rock Digital Songs Chart: Thunderstruck in at four; Back In Black at five; You Shook Me All Night Long at six; Highway To Hell at eight; TNT at 16; Hell's Bells at 17; Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap at 18; For Those About To Rock at 20; Shoot To Thrill at 23 and It's A Long Way To The Top at 24.
