Sia scores second US #1 for 2012; Kylie hits US album chart.
Sia's latest collaboration with David Guetta, She Wolf, gives the Aussie singer/songwriter her second US Dance/Club Play number one.
Earlier this year Sia and Guetta (under his Jack Back guise) topped the American dance chart with Wild One Two on May 5. Her two club number ones are amongst the five dancefloor chart-toppers Australians have scored in the US this year. Havana Brown was number one in March with We Run The Night, Gotye topped the chart in May with Somebody That I Used To Know and Kylie Minogue took the spot in August with Timebomb.
Minogue reappeared in the US Album chart this week, debuting at 120 with The Abbey Road Sessions, while Gotye re-entered with his Making Mirrors album - back in at 179. Other Australian movement in the US album charts this week saw Parkway Drive's Atlas drop to 121 after peaking at 32 last week and Tame Impala's Lonerism fell to 198 in its fifth week - it peaked at 34.
And Gotye's Somebody continues to hold down the top spot in the US Adult Contemporary chart, it has held the number one position there since June 2. Also this week Gotye's Somebody got pipped for the record for 2012's longest stay at number one in the Hot 100 for a song with a male vocal (yes, there are records for everything these days) when Maroon 5's One More Night clocked a ninth week at the top - one week longer than Gotye managed.
