Aussie touring festival returns to Singapore

Unassuming alt-pop sampler turned global music star Gotye will lead the Laneway Festival's Singapore event, which returns to Asia for the third year in a row.

One of the first Australian touring festival to push into the Asian market, next year the event moves to the The Meadow at Singapore Garden By The Bay for Saturday 26 January.

Featuring a number of acts that will appear on the Australian leg plus Gotye, who is playing his own headline shows as part of his world tour in Australia next year. Other Australian acts booked include Kimbra and Tame Impala In alpha

When first launching the Asian leg of the event, festival organisers hoped the allure of the Asian market would entice international artists to take part in the Australian leg and that Asian ticket sales would help steady the Australian events during downturns.

With Laneway Singapore and Cugg Entertainment Asia members pre-sale kicking off today, general public tickets go on sale Tursday 6 November.
