Keyboardist and bassist Brother Michael will not join Mama Kin on national tour

Fremantle-based roots songstress Mama Kin will be missing keyboardist and bassist Brother Michael on her national single tour, the esteemed band member injured in a motorcycle accident and will be unable to perform.

As a result, The Talisman Tour 2012 will now take the form of an intimate run of shows, a bare-stripped set full of old favourites and new music, keeping audiences in suspense for the band's full energetic return when in complete health – with Brother Michael is on his way to a full recovery.

Mama Kin left this statement.

“It still all seems very surreal, and the thought of performing the new material without Brother Michael is slightly terrifying,”

“But I am itching to tour and express the life of the new songs. After being in the recording bubble, I am keen to give them air, and previewing these songs in their raw form somehow feels right.”
