First speakers for the Electronic Music Conference
Electronic music leaders Tiësto, Diplo and Tommy Trash have been announced as the first speakers for the inaugural Electronic Music Conference [EMC], which will take place in Sydney as part of ARIA Week.
Claiming to be the Asia-Pacific's first music industry conference dedicated to electronic music, 30 sessions will be held over two days at Jones Bar Wharf, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 November.
EMC founder and Sound Alliance head Neil Ackland said that electronic music was “at the forefront”, noting Rihanna's work with Calvin Harris and Radiohead's collaboration with Four Tet.
ARIA CEO Dan Rosen said the conference, “reflects the growing profile of dance music in the Australian market.”
