Glen Hansard Announces First Bluesfest Sideshow

He was one of the many big names on the first announcement for next year's Bluesfest a few weeks back and now Glen Hansard has announced a sideshow that will happen while he's in the country for said festival.

Hansard is going to be in Australia on the back of his Rhythm & Repose album, just another release that has earned the Irish songwriter and frontman a great deal of acclaim since its release. What's more exciting is that he's looked very close to home when it comes to enlisting a band to flesh out the tunes, with his own band The Frames taking on that task.

They play the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Monday 25 March with support from Lisa Hannigan. Tickets are on sale from the venue's box office from 9am on Monday 15 October.
