Fans Respond To Soundwave Sell Outs

Soundwave tickets sell out within an hour in Brisbane and Melbourne; Twitter goes apeshit.

As you've probably heard by now, Soundwave's Melbourne and Brisbane shows sold out within an hour of opening up online at 9am and Sydney followed suit later in the afternoon.

Many metalheads, rockers and hardcore kids had already had already stumped up for the lineup, which includes Metallica, Blink 182, Linkin Park, Slayer, Paramore, The Offpring, Garbage and Cypress Hill during presale. Those unfortunate souls who tried their luck this morning online and were beaten out by the massive demand for such a big lineup have taken their rage to the internets. So as the scalping begins and the fingers are pointed, here's some of the best.

Anger about missing out even stemmed to some very serious violent threats on the festival's Facebook page, which we won't publish here, that the Queensland Police Service have assured will be looked into.

Soundwave boss AJ Maddah (@iamnotshouting) announced this afternoon that the first scalper had been identified and caught.
