Missy, who performed at the Splendour In The Grass festival over the weekend, will bring Gurrumul along as main support for all headlining dates bar Perth as well as Emma Louise, who will be opening support for all headline dates except Perth and Canberra.

The tour features bigger venues than the more intimate recent tour.

Higgins said, "It felt so good to finally get back on the road last June, I can't wait to do it again this time in bigger venues and with two amazing support artists, Gurrumul and Emma Louise.

"A lot of the theatres we'll be playing are my all time favourites. Some, like The Palais in Melbourne and the State Theatre in Sydney, I haven't played in over five years so it'll be an amazing way to end the year. I'll be bringing my Nashville band back again, this time with an exciting new addition or two!”

As part of the tour she will headline the Soundscape festival in Hobart, Adelaide's Gorgeous Festival and the Queenscliff Music Festival.

General public tickets go on sale Thursday 9 August.
