Splendour In The Grass has revelead its Arts Program for the festival this year, along with the already announced line-up of music. The 2012 Splendour Arts Program will see a diverse range of unique and interactive bodies of work - ranging from street art to sculpture and performance to life-size installations.

Splendour Arts curator Craig Walsh said "In addition to the bands, it's the installations and unexpected arts encounters throughout the site that help create experiences. In 2012 we will be showcasing a combination of emerging artists, international visitors and Splendour favourites."

Amongst the chosen artists includes the following:

Let's Get Metaphysical - A 10 metre long (and almost equally as tall) installation piece by Australian artist Nicole Breedon, that will be illuminated by natural gas. The artwork will be on show Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30pm - 1am.

Idle Worship
- Fractured and creative art projections in the Mix Up Tent canopy every night from 5:30pm - 1am, designed and directed by Clint Hurrell.

The Art Of Marriage
- An experiment that joins together souls, whilst utilising voodoo, science and witchcraft. Directed by Andy Forbes.

CREAM
- curated by Annemarie Kohn, is a series of contemporary artworks that will be scattered across the festival site by three artists. German artist Clemens Behr will utilise recycled material and simple geometic shapes to create 2D and 3D origami-like artworks whilst James Dodd uses bus shelters as his canvas, as he looks into forms of street art and text. Justin Shoulder's GALA will see some fantastic costume changes, transformations and honking as he brings to life a sparkling (and interactive) festival creature.

Splendour In The Grass will run from Friday 27 July to Sunday 29 July.
