Local comedian joins Chris Rock and Russell Brand on new FX line-up.

US cable network FX has ordered 13 episodes of Legit, a comedy series starring Australian comedian Jim Jefefries.

Set to air in January, 2013, Legit has been created by Jefferies and Peter O'Fallon, who most recently worked on mystical comedy series Pushing Dasies and Eddie Izzard's The Riches.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the show will be based around Jefferies' character and a group of friends played by Dan Bakkedahl (The Daily Show, Community) and DJ Qualls (he was Getz in Breaking Bad).

An FX spokesperson described Legit as "...a breakout vehicle for Jim. He has such a unique voice, which is the common trait of any great comedian. It just happens to be spoken with an Australian accent."
