The five finalists for the Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012 have been announced and features an eclectic mix of youthful punk and hardcore bands across Victoria and New South Wales.

Melbourne pop-rockers Let's Not Pretend took out round one of the competition. The five-piece draw influences from the likes of Simple Plan and All Time Low. Also from Melbourne are finalists number two and three, Masketta Fall, whose catchy single, Without You, garnered much interest in the judges, and Your Ticket Home, whose sound can be described as pop-punk with a hint of metal.

Representing New South Wales in the finals are Go Mason Go and Break A Leg. Go Mason Go's alternative sound scored them a support slot with The Getaway Plan, and Break A Leg have worked hard to release their debut EP, Young Wolves, which features their unique brand of hardcore rock.

The winner will be judged by Michael Parisi (Wunderkind), Ella Hooper (musician), Dan Bessant (XYZ Networks) and Corbin Harris (TV personality/professional skater) on Saturday 7 July. The event will be headlined by Stonefield. A location is yet to be decided, so stay tuned!
