Coldplay Confirm November Stadium Dates

Having announced in March that they would be heading to Australia in 2012, Coldplay have today confirmed venues and dates for their  upcoming Australian tour.

Coldplay Australian dates and venues:

Tuesday 13 November - Etihad Stadium, Melbourne

Saturday 17 November - Allianz Stadium, Sydney

Wednesday 21 November - Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

Tickets for the Melbourne show go on sale through Ticketmaster at 9am on Friday 25 May. Sydney tickets go on sale through Ticketek, also at 9am on Friday 25 May. Brisbane show goes on sale 10am on Friday 25 May, also through Ticketek.

This tour by the UK band will be their first gigs in Australia since they headlined Splendour In The Grass in 2011.

In a message posted by Chris Martin on the band's website, he wrote: “We can't wait to get back to Australia and New Zealand this November. They're such special places for us.

"These venues are pretty huge... and we'll be bringing everything we've got. It's going to be big."

Supporting Coldplay on the tour are The Temper Trap and American sister duo The Pierces.

There will be advance tickets made available on Thursday (17 May), to all Visa cardholders, from noon in Sydney and 1pm in Brisbane until 5pm on Saturday 19 May - or until presale tickets sell out.
