In the UK Atlantic has launched the careers of similarly-moulded singler/songwriters artists like Ed Sheeran, Plan B and Paolo Nutini in the last five years, while re-invented Atlantic US imprint Elektra will see Corby rubbing shoulders with label mates like Bruno Mars, Cee Lo Green and Marina & The Diamonds.
Corby, whose enjoyed some massive success in the last 12 months - particularly with triple j favourite Brother - will release his triple platinum EP Into The Flame around the world September this year. That release will be followed shortly by his debut album.
The high profile signings, which are likely to be made official in the coming days, cap off a remarkable period of growth and development for Corby, which along with fantastic sales has garnered sold-out shows around the country, and indeed the world.
