Dystopian future rock is the name of the game for Brisbane outfit Hey Geronimo in 2018.

The alt-rockers have spent the past two years working on a concept album and the result is Content, which you can hear exclusively via The Music today prior to its official release tomorrow.

The 11-track effort “explores the inevitable (and bizarre) future that humanity faces as technology revolutionises society.”

"We honestly believe that one day Google is going to be a fundamental interface between our brains and the outside world, and the idea of any corporation having that much power over humanity is terrifying,” frontman Pluto Jonze said upon the release of single Working For Google.

With that in mind, Hey Geronimo enlisted the help of Artificial Intelligence to write lead guitar for five songs on Content, marking an Australian first.

The band’s album launch tour will hit Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne throughout November; all the details of which you can find in theGuide.
