More Airling More Airling

Queensland's Airling has announced that she'll be setting off — accompanied by a three-piece band — for a quick run of shows around the country this October in support of her new single, Stallin'.

Alongside her touring musicians, Airling (real name Hannah Shepherd) will be joined by prodigious Melburnian producer LANKS at all the Stallin' Tour shows, which get under way at Sydney's Newtown Social Club on Friday, 9 October, and take in slots at The Foundry (Brisbane, Friday, 16 October), Northcote Social Club (Melbourne, Saturday, 17 October), and Perth's Aviary Rooftop Sessions on Sunday, 18 October.

The sojourn comes hot on the heels of a big past year for Airling, in which she rocked alongside Vance Joy as support on his national Australian tour and dropped the collaborative Forces with Japanese Wallpaper, with whom she also toured, as she did with #1 Dads, both partnerships culminating in some special showings indeed at last month's Splendour In The Grass festival.

Word is that Airling will be showing off a bunch of new tunes on this tour, the product of a stint writing and recording with #1 Dads' Tom Iansek (also of Big Scary) at Pieater's Mixed Business studio in Melbourne, but you can get a jump on learning at least one song ahead of time by spinning Stallin' below.
