'90s Sydney band Def FX have announced they'll be hitting the road for a headline tour this July to mark the 20th anniversary since the group broke up.

The shows, taking place in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, will be fronted by Fiona Horne and the original line-up, including founding guitarist Blake Gardiner.

Joining Def FX on tour is Chicago's My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, who will be making their first-ever trip to Australia.

"This 20 year reunion tour is a dream come true for the band and our Def Family of fans," Horne said.
