'Seems like only yesterday/We were starting out'
After months of speculation, Aussie rock stalwarts COG have finally dropped The Middle; the band's first new music in over a decade, which is premiering right here on theMusic.com.au today.
The track is, simply put, classic COG. A slow burner that lures the listener in with delicate, finger-plucked guitar before tearing it all down in favour of crunching guitars and urgent percussion.
Recorded in the band’s own Studio 101 and engineered by Forreser Savell (Karnivool, Shihad) it’s the first new track we’ve gotten from the band since 2008 album Sharing Space, while the band are already teasing that the cut could be part of something much larger.
