Get some pop punk in your life.

After teasing us all year with singles, Brisbane grunge pop punk rockers, Walken, have unleashed their EP What’s Your Environment? It’s being premiered exclusively on theMusic.com.au before its official release this Friday (December 15).

Featuring singles Eagle Eye and Even If It Kills Me, the EP tackles big issues like the anxiety of adolescence and being remembered.

"This EP is probably our most stylistically diverse release yet," vocalist Matt Cochran said.

"Inspired heavily by the genre hopping goodness of Regurgitator's Unit album, but also equally inspired by our indescribable love for the golden age of emo-tinged pop punk that was Blink-182's Untitled album."

While these influences are evident, every one of the five tracks are shrouded in the band’s signature loveable rock riffs and impossibly clever lyrical arrangements.

"The EP itself has been a long time coming and there have been numerous times where we didn't think it would ever see the light of day," Coachran said.

"We've been through massive stylistic shifts and even some personnel changes since this EP was initially recorded, so it's amazing for us to finally release it to the world and get it out there."

The whole EP smacks of quintessential pop punk tunes that will leave you wanting to either headbutt a wall or high five your best friend.
